Special Issues

Special Issues are collections of papers centered around a subject of special interest and are organized and led by subject experts who take on the role of Guest Editor-in-Chief (and Guest Co-Editor-in-Chief) of the Special Issue. The Special Issue proposals are submitted by the Editor-in-Chief and/or expert who is interested in organizing a Special Issue in a specific topic, and be approved by the Editor-in-Chief.

All submissions to Special Issues follow the same peer review process as regular papers. Submissions are initially assessed by the Editor-in-Chief and the Guest Editor(s) for suitability for the journal and the special issue topic. The Guest Editor(s) is/are responsible for the peer review assessments and the final decision regarding acceptance or rejection of articles. Guest Editors are not involved in any decision making or review processes concerning manuscripts for which they are authors or co-authors. Moreover, the identity of the reviewers conducting reviews of such paper are not disclosed to Guest Editors at any stage. After the Special Issue is completed, all the accepted papers will be publishing in a Special Issue Publication (Papers submitted as Special Issue papers may publishing in a Regular Publication due to overtime of acceptance).
